BET.com - God and War: Religious Leaders Speak Out
Bishop Carlton Pearson,

Azusa Interdenominational Fellowship of Christian Churches,
Tulsa, Okla.:

"This is a religious war. Fundamentalists of whatever faith are always the warmongers. Heads of states should be sitting together with their clerics and praying and working through their differences, to agree to be disagreeable. I've been quoting Dr. King's statement that 'wars are poor chisels for carving peace for tomorrow.' It is never Christian to go to war. It should never be endorsed as an acceptable means for resolving conflict."
Rev. Pearson, I do not feel that you are a mainstream Christian or American. I tolerated and prayed for you when you spoke and said that Many would go to heaven that did not declare Jesus as their savior. Now you are saying that as a Christian I cannot support way. Please, provide Chapter and verse that says that. I cannot find it. I respect you as a man, I will not judge you as God does that, but I can not in good conscience follow any teachings that you teach. That is strong from me, as I stood in a service at your church and was delivered from anger towards my ex-wife. Your church helped me with a Divorce workshop. I was an ardent supporter of you. I think that this is probally hard on people like me who have looked to you as a spiritual leader, I am sorry that we have.
